This is my project of the reflection, the subject is a mirror, I've taken all the picture. In this project, I first I had no idea of what I was trying to create, then I start looking around, for anything worth taking photo around me, I took many photos like walls and plates and some clock, then I found this, the ground with reputation rocks, then I take a picture with this, this will be a good start for me, but it has to be some kind of reflections, so started to think how can it be reflected on mirror. My first plan is to make it kinda like a "shoot-thru glass reflection". Then I realized its not reflection because that was our previous project. Then I had a idea of photoshoping a mirror, and I can't stop thinking about this idea then I finally had a plan to do so.
In photoshop, I first copied an layer of original in case I did anything wrong, then I use the curve tool to lower the highlight, which is the brightness, and it turn out very fine. Then I created a circle, that will be the mirror I am photoshoping, then I added a stroke to the circle, set it to white, and set its range to 1, then a drop shadow, angle 18, opacity 47, then it look very much like a mirror now, and lastly I need to add content in the mirror, since my background is so dark to need something light, so I had a picture of trees with sky, it is perfect because the mirror is facing up, then I ctrl T change its size and I use mask tool to plug it into the circle, and I selected the layer and use adjustment-selective color, and turn black down a little, and this is the final result.
Something I learned in this project is how to use curve tool, selective color adjustment tool, mask tool, circle tool and using curves in photoshop. and I also learn how opacity affect the photo because you can clearly see the drop shawdow and how normal it is . And I learn how to use stroke to create the sharpness of a mirror. Finally this also connects to my concertration because by using photoshop I showed a theme of "never let your worst side (the ground) define your reflection"
