Social Studies

Third grade social studies is taught using Studies Weekly, which uses a periodical-format to engage students in the curriculum. Students explore the year as geographers, historicians, political scientists, social scientists, and economists. The third grade model curriculum includes map skills, government, Rocky River history, geography, and economimcs. Examine the social studies subpages on this website for an overview of each quarter's topic(s). We will alternate units in social studies and science.
