Certifications to Consider
Many tools and companies offer certification options for their products. These certifications signify that educators have a deep understanding of the product and how to strategically use them in their practice.
Requirements for each certification differ; some require educators to complete a course or take an assessment, while others require a submission of evidence. Below are the certifications RUSD educators are encouraged to consider pursuing, along with the requirements needed to earn the certification.
Google Educator (Levels 1 & 2): exams consisting of multiple choice questions as well as performance tasks
Please note there is a cost to register to take each exam: $10 for Level 1 and $25 for Level 2
Seesaw Pioneer: completion of 1 hour online course
Nearpod Certified Educator: 1 hour webinar plus the delivery of 1 Nearpod lesson
Advanced Nearpod NCE: 2 45-minute self-paced lessons plus the creation of an original Nearpod lesson aligned to one of the pedagogical approaches detailed in the self-paced lessons
Promethean Certified Teacher: completion of 2 hour online course
ISTE Certification: completion of 5 online, synchronous learning sessions and submission of a portfolio of artifacts
