Nearpod

You can build lessons in Nearpod, upload your existing PowerPoint or Google Slide presentations, or search the Nearpod library for pre-made lessons that can be used immediately or edited to fit your students' needs. Nearpod works on all devices and can be used for in-class activities as well as homework.

What's Included

With Nearpod Platinum, you can have up to 200 students in a lesson at a time. You can also use Student-Paced Mode which allows students to interact with the lesson at their own speed. Additionally, Nearpod Platinum has premium features, such as the ability to add web content, embed YouTube videos, use Virtual Field Trips, generate individual student reports, and use student notes during lessons, that are not available in the free version. You will also have access to all of the lessons in the Nearpod Library.

The following are updates Nearpod has made to some of the most used features:

New in 2021

Nearpod released Drag and Drop activities which allows students to sort, order, or organize images, words, or shapes! Live to Student-Paced allows you to switch between synchronous and asynchronous modes within a lesson that has already been started. Watch the videos below to learn more about these new features.

New in 2020

Nearpod has added some amazing features recently. The first allows you to add interactive video lessons! You'll notice that it is very similar to EdPuzzle in that you can embed questions into a video, but now it's available in Nearpod!

Another update is an integration with Zoom that allows you to automatically launch a Nearpod lesson via Zoom.

There is also a new Flipgrid integration, the ability to have students respond with audio, Microsoft's Immersive Reader, and more! Check out the videos below that explore these new features and be sure to visit the Nearpod Blog to see all updates that have been added!

The Nearpod Lesson Library contains over 7,000 curated, standards aligned, ready to launch lessons that you can access. With Neapod Platinum that you will have access to, all of the lessons in the Nearpod Lesson Library will be available to you for free.
