Student Projects

Student Plastic Usage Project (6 week project-can be started at anytime):

• Students tally and record their use of plastics everyday. At the end of one week the students have calculated the average number of plastic items they used. These tally's are then used to calculate the average number of plastic items by each student over a month, and in a year.

• Using their personal data, the students try to post one question on ideas to reduce using plastics. Any student participating in this project can give advice.

• Based on the advice, each student will post their action plans for a week and how they are following their plans and actually reducing the use of plastics.

• At the end of the action week, students calculate how much they have reduced compared to the last amounts they had used at the previous count. Students calculate the average they have reduced for a month and a year.

• Students then posted their reflections on the project. Other students can add comments.

Student Art Project (Anytime)

Students can post examples of their art work and share with other students.

Birds in our Schools Project (Anytime)

Students can post photographs and drawings, and the names of birds found around their school.
