REMEMBER TO VOTE
Voters will have a voice in shaping the future of Roselle Public Schools during a September 15 special election. The school bond referendum will be on the ballot, and just like in any New Jersey election, community members can vote at the polls or by mail.

In-Person Voting Polls will be open on Tuesday, September 15, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. All regular polling locations will be open for this special election including:
Ward 1: Warinanco Sports Center - 1 Park Drive
Ward 2: Polk Elementary School - 1100 Warren Street
Ward 3: Abraham Clark High School - 122 East Sixth Avenue
Ward 4: Washington Elementary - 501 Washington Avenue
Ward 5: Anthony Amalfe Community Center - 1268 Shaffer Avenue
If you are not sure of your regular polling place, you can search for it here.
Note: If you arrive at the polls and are told that you cannot vote for any reason, ask for a provisional ballot. This means your ballot will be reviewed after all in-person and mailed ballots are processed, and will be counted if it is found to be valid.
Vote By Mail
You can Vote by Mail in this referendum. If you have already requested a ballot to be mailed to you and if your address is the same, you should receive a Vote by Mail ballot automatically before the election.
To request a Vote By Mail ballot, download an English or Spanish application. The county must receive that application in the mail by September 8 to mail you a ballot. After that date, you can deliver your completed application by 3 p.m. on September 14 to receive your ballot in person.

Vote By Mail ballots can be mailed to the return address printed on the ballot or deposited in one of four drop box locations:
Roselle Borough Hall Annex - 108 West Third Avenue, Roselle, NJ
County Administration Building - 10 Elizabethtown Plaza, Elizabeth, NJ
Board of Elections - 271 North Board Street, Elizabeth, NJ
County Clerk's Office - 300 North Avenue East, Westfield, NJ
Note: Vote By Mail ballots can not be submitted at polling places.

August 25 You must be registered to vote by this date. If you have recently moved to Roselle, you might need to update your registration.
September 8 Your Vote by Mail application must be received in the mail by the Union County Board of Elections on or before this date for a ballot to be sent to you.
September 14 Last day to apply for a Vote by Mail ballot in person, by 3 p.m.
September 15 Polls open for in-person voting at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. If you are voting by mail, your ballot must be postmarked on or before this date or hand-delivered by 8 p.m. on this date to the Union County Board of Elections in Elizabeth. Vote By Mail ballots cannot be submitted at the polling sites.

Voters must be registered by August 25 to participate in this special election.
If you have not voted recently, or have changed your name or address, you may need to update or renew your registration. If you are uncertain about your registration status, you can check the state database of registered voters.
Register online, or update your name/address by completing a voter registration form.
You also can download, print and mail registration forms, which are available in English and Spanish.
Print and mail completed paper forms to the Union County Commissioner of Registration, Floor 2, 271 North Broad Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07208-9867.
Completed voter registration applications also can be delivered in person to the Union County Election Division, 2 Broad Street, Room 113, Elizabeth.

Students who are 18 can vote too!
Students who are 18 can vote too!
Any student who is 18 or will be as of September 15 can vote in the bond referendum. Students in New Jersey can register to vote at age 17 in preparation to vote at age 18.
Once you register to vote, you can cast ballots in all local, statewide and federal elections.
Students or any Roselle resident who will be out of the area on September 15 for college, work or any other reason can apply to vote by mail in the referendum.
