VTAG

This grant is for students who are attending a private 2-year or 4-year college or university in Virginia. This is not a need-based or merit-based grant. The VTAG award was $3,200 for the 2019-2020 school year. This grant is renewable each year as long as the student maintains eligibility requirements and has not exceeded the maximum number of years of eligibility.

The basic eligibility requirements are:

• Domiciled resident of Virginia for at least one year prior to receiving VTAG.
• Enrolled as a full-time student at an eligible institution in an eligible degree program.
• A completed VTAG application submitted to your institution’s financial aid office.

Applications may be acquired from the financial aid office of the private institution the student plans to attend. The VTAG application for the 2020-2021 academic year will be available in December 2019. Completed applications must be submitted to the financial aid office of the institution by July 31 prior to the fall semester of enrollment.
