Career Pathways

The Blue Ridge Career Pathways Academy is a unique scholarship opportunity for high school Seniors. The Academy is designed for students interested in earning an Associates of Applied Science degree or Career Studies Certificate at Blue Ridge Community College. These students should be academically strong, self-motivated, and have reliable transportation.

Students who are accepted into the Blue Ridge Career Pathways Academy will be concurrently enrolled in high school and college classes during their senior year. Participants take two college courses each semester through BRCC, for a total of 12 college credits by the end of the school year. BRCC will offer financial support for tuition and fees, however, textbooks are the responsibility of the student.

• Current Juniors can apply for participation during their Senior year.
• Application packets can be picked up and returned to the Career Coach, Mrs. Martin.
• Applications are due to Mrs. Martin by the end of January.

Who Should Apply?

• current Juniors who are interested in getting a head start on college classes during their Senior year
• students who only need a few high school credits to graduate and have room in their schedule
• students that are college-ready and prepared to handle the challenges of college classes
• students interested in earning 12 college credits for the purpose of earning an Associates of Applied Science degree or Career Studies Certificate at BRCC
• this program is not for College Transfer students
