📝School Uniform
At Risca Primary School, we actively encourage the wearing of school uniform as it helps to foster a strong sense of belonging and pride within our school community. We are grateful for the support of our parents in helping children wear their uniform consistently. We are proud of how smart our pupils look, and visitors often comment on their neat appearance. More details about our uniform can be found at the bottom of this page.
PE Days
Children can come to school in their PE kit on PE days – there’s no need to bring a separate change of clothes. As they will be wearing it all day, please make sure it follows our approved colours and styles.
Presentation and Hairstyles
We ask that all children come to school neat and tidy. Please check that your child can manage the fastenings on all shoes and clothes to help them change independently and use the toilet without help.
Long hair should be tied back with a sensible bobble in school colours.
Hairstyles should be sensible and natural. We discourage tramlines, shaved patterns, logos, or extreme styles.
Nails should be short and natural. Acrylic nails, Polygel nails, and press-on/glue-on nails are not allowed.
Make up is not to be worn.
Jewellery and Watches
On PE days, children should not wear any jewellery.
Small earring studs and a sensible watch (no smart watches) are permitted.
Where to Buy
Uniform with the Risca Primary School logo is available from Darren Morgan Sports, Crosskeys.
Pre-Loved Uniform/Uniform Swap Shop
Our school offers a selection of good-quality, pre-loved logo uniform items at our 'Uniform Swap Shop'. Please support our sustainability efforts by using this service and by donating any uniform your child no longer needs that is still in good condition.
Labelling
Please remember to write your child’s name on all belongings. Stikins name labels, available online, are a great way to keep everything organised and raise funds for our school.
Lost Property
Any unnamed or unclaimed items will be placed in our lost property area. Please check this regularly to retrieve lost belongings.
