Please give some thought to the following while doing the readings:
This week you have one poem and one excerpt from a novel. One is written by a person displaced by war (Milosz) and the other is written by a veteran of WWII (Vonnegut). Think about how each of these homecomings are different and how each person responds differently to these homecomings. How is a homecoming different when a war is fought in your homeland rather than abroad? In both cases does the author actually return home or somewhere else?
