The Mathematics Department offers a wide range of courses. There are four basic routes leading toward graduation. For most students, the choice will be made at the end of the eighth grade and will involve four subsequent years of mathematics in the sequence indicated. However, there are exceptions with some students starting in grade eight and taking five years of math and others only completing three years. Students have the flexibility to move between programs to suit individual strengths/needs and interests. Placement for Grade 9 courses is based on middle school math performance, honors criteria and teacher recommendation.
