This course is a very rigorous preparation for Calculus and other advanced level mathematics courses. Topics covered include the study of functions such as polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic, as well as parametric equations. Other topics include trigonometry and its applications, polar coordinates, and vectors. Students examine scenarios through multiple representations and build mathematical meaning from dynamic systems. A Texas Instruments graphing calculator is required (TI 84+ is recommended.)
