This course focuses on the basic geometric figures with emphasis on discovery and logical reasoning.  The student will discover the logical connections between theorems to develop an appreciation and understanding of the proof process. Topics include geometric relationships, congruence, similarity, and other topics of geometry explored in two and three dimensions.

The course contains the same concepts and topics as Geometry Level 1, but is characterized by more applications of geometric properties and less rigorous treatment of proofs. Algebraic skills are reviewed and used in the calculation of geometric problems. Deductive reasoning and a logical approach are used throughout the course. A scientific or graphing calculator is required.
