AHS MB Update - 8/27/19

Congratulations to the marching band on a fine performance at the Minnesota State Fair last week!! Here are a few announcements and reminders to get you through the next two weeks.

The Great Armstrong Experience/Freshmen Orientation - Tuesday, 8/27/19 - 3:00-7:00pm

• All Freshmen marching band students should participate in orientation activities, you have no band obligations.
• 10th-12th grade students wear Armstrong red shirts and meet in the band room at 6:00pm, rehearsal/performance will go until approximately 7:00pm.

Marching Band Party - Wednesday, 8/28/19 - 8:15-11:00pm

• Melissa & Micah Peterson's House - 4580 Oakview Ln N
• Bring a swimsuit and towel

Football Game - Thursday, 8/29/19 - 5:30pm call time, 7:00pm kickoff

• Wear State Fair uniform (t-shirt & khaki shorts) and bring a sweatshirt if you want
• Groups A & B have been posted in the Band Room, on the website, and can be VIEWED HERE. Group A may leave after halftime of this first game.

Fundraising

• Our August fundraiser forms and payment are due in the Band Room by the first day of school Tuesday, 9/3/19.
• Our fall ButterBraid Fundraiser will begin the second day of school, Wednesday, 9/4/19.

Rehearsals

• Once the school year starts our rehearsals move to Mondays AND Wednesdays, not 4 days a week.
• NO REHEARSAL on Labor Day, Monday, 9/2/19

Band Booster Meeting - Monday, 9/9/19 - 7:00pm in the Band Room
