AHS MB Update - 10/29/19

There are several important updates, all of which require your immediate attention:

1. We just found out from BrightSpark that they need our flight groups as soon as possible. If you are planning to carpool to or from the airport with another family and want to be in the same flight group, we need to hear from you by NOON TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY 10/30/19. Please email the directors with this request.

2. ALL marching band students going to Florida (woodwinds, brass, percussion, & guard) will meet in the Band Room after school on Wednesday, November 6th. Captains practice is not an excused absence for this rehearsal, if you must be gone you need to speak to a director. We will distribute printed music, share audio files, share video files (guard), and make announcements about the tour. This rehearsal should not last more than an hour.

3. We will have a parent/student tour meeting on Monday, December 2nd at 7:00pm in the Armstrong Auditorium. We will collect paperwork, distribute the final itinerary, and talk through the tour and packing process.

4. The band will have a MANDATORY rehearsal on Wednesday, December 18th from 4:15-6:00pm at the Plymouth Dome. ALL students are expected to be at this rehearsal, please talk to your coaches or advisors now because this will be our ONLY parade rehearsal for two months before performing at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Students will be responsible for their own transportation and will need to bring their marching shoes. If transportation will be a challenge please talk to each other or the directors.

In case you are wondering about when the band might play again for the football team, it would not be until they play indoors at the U.S. Bank Stadium, which is two wins/two weeks away. In the meantime we will cheer for the Falcons and keep you informed as we progress through the postseason.
