AHS MB Update - 5/31/19
Welcome to the Armstrong Marching Band!! Here is your first update for the fall season:
- Registration for the fall 2019 Marching Band Season is currently closed, BUT IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN!! If anyone is interested in joining the AHS Marching Band, please email Mr. Woelfle at Colin_Woelfle@rdale.org as soon as possible.
- Deposits for the trip to Florida were due Thursday, May 23rd. If you are interested in going on the Florida Tour but you did not register by the May 23rd deadline, contact Mr. Burkholder at Todd_Burkholder@rdale.org
- Current Armstrong High School Marching Band Students (winds, percussion, and colorguard) have a rehearsal after school on Monday, June 3rd in the Band Room. Students will receive their printed music and school instruments at this time.
- Current Plymouth Middle School Students will receive their printed music from Mrs. Enoksen during the last week of the school year.
- Any remaining students will be receive their printed music via the USPS using the address provided in the Google Registration Form.
- Please make sure you have all of the correct music in your folder. If you do not, please contact the Mr. Woelfle.
- All music packets included a Summer Letter, which is attached to this email and posted to our Marching Band Page of the Band Website. Please read this letter carefully, it tells you what you need to know at this point in time.
- Students needing a school instrument will be contacted by Mr. Woelfle based on the information provided in the Google Registration Form.
- Individual student practice over the summer is essential for a successful fall season; please encourage your student to listen to, practice, and memorize the music over the summer time. Once we get going in August, we have 8 rehearsals before our first formal performance at the State Fair.
- Students have already ordered an AHS MB T-Shirt through the Google Registration Form to be worn at the State Fair and several other performances. Parents & family members can order a shirt as well using this link - CLICK HERE. All family shirt orders must be placed by NOON on Thursday, August 1st. - There are many ways students and families can get involved to help our program and defray the cost of tours or other expenses. Fundraising opportunities for students in our band program are outlined on the Fundraising Page of the Band Website, including 3 upcoming car washes at Almstead's in Crystal. Sign up for for these events using our SignUp.com Page. (This page can also be accessed with the link on our website.)
