Course Description: This session will take participants through the K-2 Common Formative Assessment to better understand the value in administering CFAs, standards based curriculum updates in the Prioritized Curriculum & CFA Google Site and the process in administering CFA 1.

Outcomes: Participants will be able to explain why it is important to have a standards based district wide curriculum and implement regular common formative assessments. Course Description: This session will dive into the various texts available to K-2 students and how they support students in reading complex texts. The focus is on the science of reading, leveled readers and anchor texts for this session. We will also look at the scaffolding that can be utilized to support and how intentional use of these texts support a students reading development.

ELA_Understanding K-2 Foundational Skills Lessons and Resources in myView/miVision Summer 2021
Course Description: This session will unpack the philosophy and approach to foundational skills in myView including an overview of program resources to teach foundational skills. We will explore a week of foundational skill instruction, including weekly and daily routines. A foundational skill will be modeled and teachers will dissect the opportunities for scaffolding instruction, and small group support. This course is open to K - 2 educators.
Target Audience: K - 2
Outcomes: Participants will be able to analyze the structure of foundational skills over five mini lessons to better understand the components of each lesson. Participants will be able to understand how lessons increase in complexity and scaffold student learning throughout the 5-day structure. Participants will be able to use program resources to meet student needs.

Course Description: While myView offers a variety of assessments, this session will focus on the specific myView assessments that have been selected by your ELA department to be used to gather formative data on student understanding. We will explore these assessments, how they can be customized and adminsitered inside of Realize, and review data that will be available and how it can be used.
