Harvest Feast

Today was a beautiful celebration of what makes Randolph School a magical place to live and learn. Every teacher and student has been hard at work creating each and every element of feast to share together to honor the harvest, this land and its history. This joyful event requires weeks of work. The teachers collaborate to find ways to support our school-wide feast while also meeting our curricular goals for each age group. Throughout the process of creating a Harvest Feast there are opportunities to measure, weigh, count, read, write, create, cook, laugh and sing. All the while we are focusing on educating the whole child as we nourish our community.

We Weighed Potatoes,

and Recorded Data.

We Cleaned Up,

Moved the Tables,

And Set Them.

We Embroidered Tablecloths,

     Made Decorations,

And Fancy Menus.

We Chopped Potatoes,

Ground Corn,

Seasoned,

And Baked.

We Danced,

Sang,

And Gave Thanks.

We Worked Hard,

And Celebrated Together,

Yum!
