This course includes Drama, Music, Performing Arts Tech Support and, possibly, Dance. Students can choose one area or a mixture.
For Drama, at each of the three year levels there are at least 18 credits available from achievement standards, which may include two externals to allow for endorsement. These are mainly centred around acting.
In Music, at each of the three year levels, there are at least 18 credits available, which may include externals to allow for endorsement. You can choose performance or theory options. You would need some background in music to be successful.
There are also a wide variety of unit standards for theatre tech support (eg costume, lighting, makeup etc) which can be gained at Achieved, Merit or Excellence. For endorsement, you would need to sit an external in Drama or Music.
If you are an accomplished dancer who takes classes outside of school, it may be possible to achieve Dance credits. This is by negotiation.
All levels costs: Up to $80 for theatre attendance if doing an external
