STUDENT RIGHTS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Students who attend Vision Valley programs have the right to feel safe, secure and well cared for in the context of a ‘different’ home environment. It is important that students understand that they have certain rights but also responsibilities to themselves, others, the campus and the environment.
Student Rights:
To be happy, fulfilled and enjoy a sense of freedom within clear, safe boundaries.
To be treated with respect.
To live in an environment that is clean, safe and secure.
To have the opportunity to develop positive and productive relationships.
To develop the skills and knowledge necessary to live independently and to be an effective member of a community.
To have opportunities to develop and demonstrate initiative and leadership.
To be able to access a range of experiences that broaden their dimensions and safely challenge personal comfort zones.
To learn to share, collaborate and foster a culture of inclusion.
Student Responsibilities:
In short, to uphold the College values, the program's Code of Behaviour and any specific rules created by the group.
