Floor Plans

Following the hypothetical scenario that a building could be built specifically for this cause despite the cost, I drafted some floor plans of a fairly simple but ideal format. The upper right back corner is space for two elevators and flights of stairs in between floors. I wasn't able to easily add these without making the model less visually accessible. The model itself is unfurnished, and the scale is a little bit off (each floor is quite a bit taller than I meant it to be), but the process was quite labor intensive, and working one to two hours a day, four days a week from February 1st to April 10th, I put about 60 hours into building this model. I believe it is a strong visual representation of the type of center I am envisioning, something that you can't just see off of floor plans alone.

Colory Theory

I paid close attention to wall color as I painted my model. In many areas I used light and happy colors to create a cheery environment. Several rooms are a warm off-white, so the room isn't quite stark white but also isn't distracting. In areas like classrooms and living quarters I painted with bold, bright colors to stir creativity and happiness. Halls are all muted cool colors for a calming and peaceful effect. Below is a mood board where I laid out some of the colors I used in my model.
