Health Examinations

Medical examinations are an integral part of insuring good health during your child’s developmental years. It is important that during each developmental stage (pre-school-third grade, 4th grade – 6th grades, and 7th grade – 12th grade) your health care provider perform physicals on your child. Remember that good health promotes academic success.

Pupils who enter the district for the first time shall present a medical report from a licensed physician or nurse practitioner to attest to their physical condition. All physicals (school, sports, working papers and Child Study Team) will be performed by the student’s health care provider. The cost shall be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. If the student does not have a physician, the district will provide for an office examination by the school’s physician. A written medical report of the physical must be provided to the school nurse within 30 days.
