Report Card Reminder

Just a reminder that Valley Park follows a trimester schedule for report cards in grades K and 1. Our 2nd trimester report card will be available March 29th after 4:00 pm through PowerSchool. Please contact the main office if you do not have Internet access and wish to have a copy of the report card sent home.

Parent Requests

To be able to meet the needs of all students, the elementary schools in the district do not accept parent requests for next year’s classroom teachers. Thank you for your understanding.

Rocky's Reading Challenge

This year students at Valley Park are taking part in Rocky's Reading Challenge! Each student who turns in their bookmark by March 9th with 10 books read will receive 2 free tickets to a Blue Rocks game. To celebrate, Rocky Bluewinkle from the Blue Rocks will be visiting our students on March 15th!

We hope you will accept the challenge and make sure to fill out your bookmark and return it to your classroom teacher by March 9th!

100 Days Smarter!

Did you know that Tuesday, February 20th was the 100th day of school? Valley Park’s staff and students certainly did! Kindergarten celebrated by dressing “fancy” for the occasion, while 1st grade students dressed as if they were 100 years old! Even some of our teachers got in the spirit! Well done everyone… and summer break will be here before we know it!

Winter Math and Literacy Night

On Tuesday, January 30th, kindergarten and first grade students were invited to a winter wonderland of literacy and math. Students and parents engaged in winter themed activities that reinforced sight words, word building, math fact fluency, and number concepts. At the end of the night students took home the activities, as well as a goodie bag of new activities to continue the fun. Thank you to all the families that attended and we look forward to holding more nights in the future!
