Spring Cleaning? Don't Forget the Nurses Office!

The nurse practitioner’s office is accepting donations of gently used children/youth sized sweatpants and shirts that are in good condition for changes of clothing that may be needed. If your child is sent home in a change of clothes from the nurse practitioner’s office, please wash and return the borrowed clothing. Thank you.

School Calendar has Been Revised

The revised 2018-2019 school year calendar was approved at the recent Board of Education meeting. The most important change to the calendar includes extending the school year to account for snow days. The last day of school for students will now be June 14th, with June 12, 13 and 14 being early student dismissal. The revised calendar can be found at www.psdnet.org.

Bee Reading Initiative UPDATE!

Our students are still busy, busy, busy reading! Make sure to keep encouraging your child to read, as our Bee Reading Initiative will continue until the end of April. At the end of April, the top 3 readers in kindergarten and first grade will be notified of their achievement. These 6 extraordinary readers will be recognized at the June 10th Board of Education meeting, so make sure to save the date!

Spring Parties

Spring Parties will be held April 18th. The parties will have only a spring theme. Please do not send in any items that were not requested by the homeroom parents or teacher. Items such as goodie/gift bags are not permitted. Please note that only homeroom parents are permitted to attend. Thank you.

Report Card Reminder

Just a reminder that Valley Park follows a trimester schedule for report cards in grades K and 1. Our 2nd trimester report card is now available through PowerSchool. Please contact the main office if you do not have Internet access and wish to have a copy of the report card sent home.

Project Graduation Needs Your Help!

The PMHS Project Graduation committee fundraises and plans non-alcoholic events/parties for after Prom and Graduation. In hosting these events, we provide a safe place for High School students to celebrate their achievements with their fellow classmates, which in turn makes their last hoorah one to remember! We are asking for $10 gift card donations to local eateries, convenience stores, online stores, etc. Any money or check (made out to Project Graduation) donations are greatly appreciated. Please put donations in a sealed envelope to the attention of Project Graduation, Laurie Hyatt. We also need parents who would be able to volunteer to help distribute balloons the night of the 8th grade dance and the night of graduation. Please let Lee Locke know if you are able to help (lockefam22@comcast.net).
