Del Oro Student Attendance Policies and Procedures

*30 minute notice required if you are checking a student out early.
ABSENCES (illness, medical/appointments, personal or other reasons)
To report an absence, please call (916) 652-7243 ext. 1017 and leave a message with your student's first name, last name, grade, reason for absence, and date of absence(s).
Parents are to notify the school as early as possible to verify the absence.
Absences left unverified for 3 days will be considered unexcused.
TARDY POLICY
Eagles arrive on time! Students will be held accountable for tardies throughout the school year.

SIGNING IN & OUT (illness, medical/appointments, personal or other reasons)
DOHS is a closed campus, therefore; students arriving late or leaving early are required to sign in or sign out on the Chromebook in the Attendance Office.
If you would like to sign your student out early we require a minimum of 30 minutes notice. Please call 916-652-7243 ext 1017 and leave a message with the student's first and last name, grade, the time you are checking them out, and the reason, ex. medical appointment, personal appointment, illness etc. Your student will be checked out no sooner than 30 minutes from the time we receive your message. Due to the high volume of incoming calls, we are unable to return your call with confirmation. Please refrain from leaving multiple messages. Thank you for your understanding.
Parents/Guardians must contact the office prior to students leaving campus to avoid receiving a cut. Absences can not be cleared if this process has not been followed. Students must sign out in the Attendance office.
If your student will be arriving to school more than 30 minutes late this will need to be verified by a parent/guardian so the student does not receive a cut. Please call 916-652-7243 ext 1017 with the reasoning prior to their arrival.
