THE BUBBLE BOWL: WHAT THE 2020 NBA PLAYOFFS
CAN TELL US ABOUT HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
This study examined the effect that playing at home has in the NBA playoffs. The study used the new data from the 2020 NBA Playoffs in the bubble, to better understand the role fans play in determining the outcome of games. The study found that to a degree of statistical significance teams were more likely to win at home, and that the advantage teams experience with fans at home was statistically significantly less in the bubble.
