ProgramS for a More Sustainable Future

Whether you are proposing a new program or renewing a legacy program, you should be thinking about sustainability through two lenses:

The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals form a cohesive and integrated package of global aspirations the world commits to achieving by 2030. The agenda provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

Penn State has committed to advancing the SDGs through its teaching, research, and service.  Penn State Global echoes that commitment by working with students, faculty, and international partners to align our mission and program offerings with the SDGs.  The Education Abroad team would like you to strategically think all/any of the goals your program may be centered around, and we will help advertise as such.
