24 July 2025 – The Faculty of Science hosted its annual Home@Science event, a cross-cultural gathering designed to welcome and connect Thai and international students through interactive learning, cultural exchange, and friendship-building activities.
After a warm welcome by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimonsri Mittraparp-arthorn, participants were then introduced to essential support units within the Faculty, including International Relations, Educational Management, and Student Development and Alumni Relations. These sessions provided helpful information on visas, 90-day reporting, health insurance, academic services, and student activities. Participants connected through engaging activities fostering a friendly atmosphere.
Later in the morning, students headed out together to the Mae Thom Community at Khu Tao Temple. Upon arrival, students immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Mae Thom. They explored the UNESCO-recognized architectural site, and learned about the community’s traditions. After a homemade local-style lunch, the afternoon was filled with hands-on workshops, including making Thong Muan (Thai crispy rolls) and preparing traditional herbal inhalers.
In the serene setting of the UNESCO Sermon Hall, students participated in hands-on activities stimulating exchange and discussions on traditions from around the world.
Home@Science 2025 once again proved to be a meaningful platform for building global friendships, embracing diversity, and fostering mutual understanding between Thai and international students.
