This guide includes all documents relevant to the competition field used for FIRST Tech Challenge Season 2022/2023 - PowerPlay, which includes field assembly, setup, reset and DIY resources
In conjunction with this FTC competition which was organized by Penang Science Cluster, we had set up a test game field with accurate dimensions in PSC in accordance to Game Field dimensions under Game Manual Part 2 . However, please allow up to 1 inch or 25.4mm of tolerances as specified by FIRST in game field dimensions.
At the same time, we understand that teams might have issues in coming to PSC for robot testing, hence this page also contain instructions to build a DIY field perimeter at own remote location for robot testing. Exact dimensions of the Game Field can be found under Traditional Events - Game Manual Part 2 in FTC website, or under webpage Game Manual in this website.
For teams who are coming to PSC to have the robot testing on the test Game Field constructed, or want to loan Game Props, please refer to webpage Field Test & Game Props Loaning in this website.
Attached below are the manuals and instructions which were used by PSC personals in assembling, and setting up the Game Field for each competition. Standards and tolerances of Field Setup and Resetting will also adhere to the manual as listed below.
Additionally, resources related to self constructing (DIY) a simple Game Field, with low-cost COTS (Commercially On The Shelf) is also available under this section for teams' in house testing purposes.
