This group of pages is a for teams to understand regarding the competition execution format, markings rubrics, advancement format, and guidelines which are applied during the competition is carried out.
Competition Duration & Section
Each competition matches last for 2 minutes 30 seconds, in which the first 30 seconds is fully on Autonomous mode. The remaining 2 minutes is the Driver-Controlled mode. In switching fro Autonomous mode to Driver-Controlled mode, there will be additional 5 seconds given, and "3, 2, 1, Go!" which are exclusive in the 2 minutes Driver Mode. The last 30 seconds of Driver-Controlled mode is called the End-Game.
Competition Concept & Advancement
Due to current COVID-19 pandemic and government regulations, advancement method of FTC Malaysia will be slightly different to FIRST Tech Challenge officials in United State. FIRST Tech Challenge is way more than just learning on how to plan, build, and program robots, but also emphasizes on society engagement, inter-team communication and corporation , as well as innovation and creativity in field of robotics through STEM education. Teams will compete individually instead of competing in the form of alliance, throughout the Championship. There are two type of matches which take place throughout the Championship:
Qualification Matches
Each team will compete 6 times in the Qualification Matches
Teams will compete against different teams throughout the Qualification Matches as randomly assigned by the Organizer
Field colour will be assigned randomly by the Organizer
Scores earned by a team will be accumulated, and serves as the final earned score of the team
Championship Matches
Teams with the Top 8 Highest Cumulative Score from the Qualification Matches will only advance to the Championship Matches
Remaining 6 teams will be eliminated from the Championship Matches

Semi Finals
Finals
Finals (1st & 2nd Placing)
3rd Place (3rd & 4th Placing)
Field colour are assigned based on teams who obtained:
Quarter Finals: Higher marks for Cumulative Score in Qualification Matches
Semi Finals & Finals: Higher marks in Quarter Final & Semi Final respectively
