Amy's job interview

The weather was really awful that day. It had been raining for hours and it was impossible for anyone to get out of their houses. Amy was really upset about that. It was the day, that she had a very important meeting, an interview for her dream job.

Her car was in need of repair, so she couldn't use it. But even if her car had been in perfect condition, she would have been unable to drive it in that rain. Even public transport was not an option. The meeting would start in half an hour and Amy was very worried that she couldn't make it there on time. She tried to contact the company to see if there was anything she could do, if they could reschedule the meeting for another day but no one answered her call.

As if this wasn't enough, there was a big thunderstorm raging outside, the power went off and her cell phone had no signal anymore. Amy started panicking because now there was nothing she could do and she would miss a really big opportunity.

As she checked her phone for the last time to see if there was any signal, she accidentally opened the wrong app which was the calendar. That was the time when she realised that it was not the meeting day, but the day before. She was so relieved! She couldn't believe she was so lucky.

The next day the weather was fine again and Amy took the bus to her meeting.
