FHS BANDS ANNUAL PLAY-A-THON This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! All money raised will go to helping the band program with travel costs, student support, instrument and equipment needs, uniform upkeep and additions, food for events, professional instrument instruction and clinicians and many other items that help the Franklin Band Program thrive. Last year we raised over $11,000. We have a goal of $15,000 this year. If we all pitch in, it will add up quick. A schedule for the evening will be available on our Facebook page prior to Thursday.

DISNEYLAND THIS MARCH 2025!!!
FHS ENSEMBLES WILL BE TRAVELING AND PERFORMING IN DISNEYLAND IN MARCH.
Trip Dates: March 21st- March 24th.
Trip Package includes:
Airfare, Lodging, 2 day park hopper for both Disneyland and California Adventure,Universal Studios, Charter Transportation, Disney Performances, Disney Studios Recording Workshop, 2 meals per day, Beach/University visit and more. All FHS Band students are encouraged to participate. Total cost for the trip is $1300. This is payable through a scheduled payment plan if needed to help manage the cost and we have provided fundraisers to help students and families with raising money for the trip as needed. All student musicians who want to participate will need to make the first $300 deposit by Oct. 22nd (non refundable).

Interested in being a Chaperone for our DisneyTrip? We still have a few spaces for parents to chaperone and travel with us and we are looking for a couple people to drive a moving van and meet us. Please fill out this short Google form if you're interested and would like more information. Keep in mind parents will also need to pay for the trip to chaperone.
OUR WILLAMETTE PIE FUNDRAISER HAS STARTED
Meet your down payment goals for Disney. You still have over two weeks to sell local delicious pies for the holidays and meet your Disney deposit goal.
Formal Performance Attire for the Year
All ensembles will be performing in performance attire. Mr. Formal will be coming in to measure new students and students who need to change sizes over the next two weeks. Keep in mind if you are new to the program you will need a performance outfit. For those of you that need to replace or exchange something please make sure your current performance outfit is dry cleaned and in great shape so it can be traded in for a new size if needed. This includes a dress jacket, dress shirt and pants that are tailored to your musician. Students will need to supply their own black shoes and socks. Tuxedos/Dresses will continue to be offered at the $150 price, the same price I paid for my tuxedo in 1993.We will also have a reduced price for families with financial need with the help of our Lightning Band Boosters.

Get your tickets for Mean Girls! Ticket sales start this week on the Main Franklin High School Webpage. It has been fun working with the Pit Orchestra as we prepare to play this show! Opening Night is Nov. 8th. Show dates are Nov. 8,9,14,15,16 @ 7pm in the Franklin Auditorium and Nov. 10th at 2pm.
Encourage your Musician to practice and play at home
Take the time to practice and play at home and outside of class. Don't let your musician convince you that they don't need to practice. Everyone needs to practice.
