Director Notes
It was great to see so many families at our Tuesday meeting. The energy in the room was Awesome. Thank you parents! We had a really productive rehearsal on the field that night also. A HUGE Shout out to our Board that evening for running a great meeting and sending out the minutes to the community. If you are able to help with some of the items below please connect with the Band Boosters by replying to their email and also please put in for one of the Board positions. They may be sending out their own google form for this, but I will forward and share any names of parents that fill out the form provided below. Thank you.
Jason Edwards! Thanks for recording our FHS Band concerts. If you are available we would love to have you record our Awards Concert on May 16th at 7:00pm. Also, Jason asked if we can upgrade our SoundCloud account to have enough space to continue to add recordings. We are out of free space unfortunately and I am in favor of this idea and hope LBB is on board to support that. Having recordings to listen back to for our community is great!

Support Franklin Bands and Receive AD space for your Business.
Sponsors would get an advertisement in the program for the spring awards concert (May 16), promotion on the social media pages (Instagram and Facebook), a lovely tax deduction for supporting our 501(c)(3), and of course the glow of knowing that they are supporting young musicians. Prices are according to this image -- a 1/2 page ad is $275, 1/4 page ad is $150, 1/8 page $100, and 1/16 $75. We are only planning on doing one page of advertising, so wanted to open things up to the band community first. If you or someone you know might be interested in being a sponsor, please let us know!
Please contact Lightningbandboosters@gmail.com for more info and to get your ad in our Program!

“I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized. If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming.” ― Haim G. Ginott
