Its important to remember, followers are just as much of the leadership process as leaders. Whereas Northouse (2022) describes Followership where influence over others to accomplish a common goal. Followers take orders from leaders based on power. Both leaders and followers share the same moral obligation regarding goals.

The First Follow (Silvers, 2010) describes the importance of the first follower. They are the first to stand and first to join. First followers start and are the first step to any movement. A first follower will turn one person into a leader and is important to the leadership process. Nurture your first followers and treat them as equals to start a movement. Be easy to follow and remember leadership is over glorified.
