Create Tables and Links

Now you need to take the tables and links from your DESIGN section i.e. your DATA DICTIONARY and NORMALISATION and make them exactly in ACCESS.

Under this heading you need to put screenshots of each table you make, clearly showing the fields. NO NOT CROP

Make sure each TABLE has a clear HEADING (i.e. the NAME of the TABLE and a short description explain the purpose of that table for the company.

Look at example below as a guide. (HINT - Make sure screenshot is big enough to read fields, probably 1 screenshot per page but definitely not more than 2.

LINKS - Screen shot your Relationships. Example below - Double check you have pulled down all boxes so you can see all the fields and check relationships have 1 to many.

Now you have done this, enter a couple of records into each table to check the accuracy of your tables.

Once you have done this, click on the + of each table and screenshot the links for each one. Check example below.

CHECK - GO BACK TO DESIGN and check your DATA DICTIONARY matches what you have done in ACCESS.

For every 1 mistakes you lose a mark, even if Data types are wrong!!! Check and DOUBLE CHECK PLEASE!!!

Validation Techniques

Put the title of the validation you are going to show. (Try and put them in the same order as in your design document). Then screenshot your validation in DESIGN VIEW. DO NOT CROP!! See example below. Make sure alongside there is detail explaining what is shown. No need to show it working with error message, that goes in Testing.

Queries

Put the title of the Query you are showing and its purpose. (Try and put them in the order of the mark sheet, just to make it easier for the examiner). Then screenshot your query in DESIGN VIEW. DO NOT CROP!! See example below. Make sure alongside there is detail explaining what is shown. No need to show it working, that goes in Testing.
