Dial Up Internet

Dial up Internet connection uses ordinary telephone line and a modem which analogue signal to digital form. It is an inexpensive method for the home user to connect to the Internet as it uses existing telephone connection. The main limitation is its slow speed and (normally) the

phone cannot be used while the Internet is being accessed.

Broadband

Broadband connection is always on and much faster so it downloads large files much more quickly than dial up. The main limitations are that not all parts of the country have access to broadband it can work out more costly for the casual user at current subscription rates.
