According to the sustainable development objective number 11 of the 2030 Agenda, the creation of inclusive cities seeks to create a reciprocal reinforcement link between urbanization and development and to configure human settlements based on equity, justice and peace, under the global principle of “leaving no one behind”

Our vulnerability to climate change must make us work on risk mitigation and adaptation to it. The priorities for action in this area are to reduce the negative environmental impact of cities, paying special attention to air quality and waste management, reducing the negative effects derived from disasters, both in terms of material and human damage, with special attention to vulnerable populations, and protect the cultural and natural heritage.
