As promised when we introduced our winter timetable in November, the combined 10 minute frequency between St Marychurch and Torquay Harbourside is being restored with the introduction of a new Hop122 route which will run every 20 minutes, 7 days a week, from St Marychurch to Torquay Harbourside as per the 22, then to continue to Paignton, Paignton Bus Station and Paignton Zoo. The route will feature open top double deck buses and normal fares will apply with the exception of the £1 child add-on which will not be available

From 29 April we'll be running a new open top service in Torbay, connecting St Marychurch, Torquay, Paignton and Paignton Zoo. The Hop122 will run up to every 20 minutes, 7 days a week and each bus features its very own loveable "bus hopper" character
With considerable fanfare, Stagecoach South West's new "Golden Hop" 122 open-top bus service commenced operations on Saturday 29th April. ALX400-bodied Trident 18305 departs St Marychurch for Paignton Zoo on the inaugural day, with the driver seemingly having forgotten to reset the destination display fro,m the inward journey. The buses seemed to be well-received, although a major event at Paignton Green did cause delays to the service as the day progressed.
