"Exeter Road Closure for Gas main work, to divert services via Gypsy Lane and Marine Way Exeter Road in Exmouth will be closing from 4th January 2017 for approximately six months. This is to replace the gas main which runs along the middle of the road. During this time Exmouth Parade will not be able to be served by Services 56, 57, 57B and for some of the time by Services 98 and 99E. The following diversions have been agreed with Devon County Council and the contractors. The lower section of Exeter Road will initially be affected with the dates for the upper section to be advised by Devon County Council and the contractors in due course.Service 98 - When the lower part of Exeter Road is closed, Service 98 will operate a normal route to Withycombe Village Road, then via Gypsy Lane, Exeter Road and then Marine Way to terminate at the Leisure Centre. This diversion will operate in both directions. The bus stop at Waverley Road will be served. When the top part of Exeter Road is closed (date unknown), Service 98 will revert its normal route, terminating at the Parade. Service 99E - When the lower part of Exeter Road is closed, Service 99E will operate a normal route to Withycombe Village Road, then via Gypsy Lane, Exeter Road and then Marine Way to Rolle Street. When the top part of Exeter Road is closed, Service 99E will revert to its normal route, serving the Parade."
