To coincide with the start of the summer season, the timetable for Service 21/21A and 21C will be enhanced between 2 April 2023 and 2 September 2023. Monday to Friday daytime, Service 21 will operate every 30 minutes between Ilfracombe and Westward Ho! and Service 21A will operate every 30 minutes between Barnstaple and Appledore. This will provide an enhanced 30 minute frequency to Ilfracombe, Westward Ho! and Appledore, as well as a 15 minute frequency between Barnstaple and Northam.Service 21C will be enhanced to operate every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime between Barnstaple and Croyde Bay, with one journey every two hours continuing to Georgeham.Journeys continuing to Georgeham will not serve West Meadow Road in Braunton.Saturday daytime, Services 21/21A combined will provide a 30 minute frequency between Ilfracombe and Barnstaple, a 15 minute frequency between Barnstaple and Bideford, a 30 minute frequency to Northam and then a 60 minute frequency to both Westward Ho! and Appledore.Combined with Service 21C, a 15 minute frequency will operate between Braunton and Barnstaple.On Sunday and Public Holidays, Ilfracombe, Westward Ho! and Appledore will each be served every 60 minutes, with a combined 30 minute frequency between Barnstaple and Northam. The 21C timetable will be reinstated and buses will operate every 60 minutes during the main part of the day. The majority of journeys operating between Barnstaple and Croyde Bay will be operated by open top double decker vehicles, whereas journeys between Barnstaple and Georgeham will be operated by single decker vehicles. Combined with Service 21C, a 30 minute frequency will operate between Braunton and Barnstaple.During the evening each day of the week, Ilfracombe, Westward Ho! and Appledore will each be served every 60 minutes, with a combined 30 minute frequency between Barnstaple and Northam. For some journeys that involve travelling across Barnstaple in the evening, a change of bus may be required and the timetable should be checked for further details."
