Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Career Technical Education (CTE) Department at Plainville High School provides students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners.
CTE prepares these learners for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies, and makes academic content accessible to students by providing it in a hands-on context.

Central Connecticut State University Partnership Program. Open to juniors and seniors who have earned a 3.5 GPA. Eligible students can take up to 2 courses per semester. Classes are taken on CCSU’s campus or remotely.
