Condensation is an important part of the water cycle. Students made predictions about what would occur if their teacher placed ice into a 2 liter bottle (with its lid closed) and then placed it a few inches above hot water.
Would any water drip? Why or why not?
Water was the focus of this Odyssey, as students explored mindfulness techniques while also learning about the water cycle. Using VR Goggles, students viewed the book Wild Mindfulness, by Laura Lawson and discussed ways to practice mindfulness.
Students then experimented with watercolor pencils to make a painting. During times of creativity, we can practice mindfulness to relax.
They also read an article about iron rain that occurs on the planet Wasp-76b. This planet is the first time scientists have seen liquid iron rain. It is so hot on Wasp-76b that iron on the planet turns into iron gas, at night the gas cools down and causes condensation (iron rain).
