Project Description: For this project, we were assigned partners. I was partners with Sasha and we were supposed to decode 5 clues which were encrypted using caeser cipher or 10 digit codes. We decoded the first 4 incredibly easily using our code that we created in class, but the last clue was by far the hardest and we couldn't decode it the first class. We were left with the digits, 650806, from the 4th clue that would be part of the final 10 digit code for clue 5. Each clue would give a number that would give the final code but we couldn't figure out how, so we started trying to brute force it next class. We finally got it by guessing numbers until we finally got the code: 6508069278.

Raul said he saw the cow hanging out with JH kids in the Cue Quad eating mint candy.

Ms. Tran recalls seeing Ms. King and Ms. Sanchez eating the same mint candy.

Someone found a candy wrapper with “Call me” written next to a number: 650806….

Clue 5:

The cow loves candies as much as you do. No one stole it. It walked to Ms. Sanchez’s office to get his favorite snack.
Procedure: At first we tried to figure out the last four digits from the first four clues that Ms. Tran gave us. We tried figuring out the clues using Ms. Sanchez's and Ms. King's phone numbers, but we got nothing. The first three clues also didn't give us any information that we could figure out. We spent the whole class trying to understand the clues and the final four digits but eventually we decided to just brute force it and started strategically guessing the code. Eventually, we got the 10 digit code: 6508069278.
Reflections
Strength
My strength during this project was my partner. She was particularly adept at the code we learned and helped me figure out a lot during the clues.
Opportunity
I think I could've maybe figured out the actual way we were supposed to acquire the last four digits through clues, but it took too long and we just brute forced our way for the code.
Understand
I learned about the code of python and how caeser cipher works. I also learned a lot about decryption and encryption this project.
Limitation
A limitation in the project was a bug in our decrypt 10 code. We couldn't figure out the decrypt 10 code for a while and it took us a bit to debug everything.
WISCR
For WISCR, I chose clear communicator because I feel like I was able to work together efficiently with Sasha creating a doc quickly and documenting everything together. For my second, I chose well rounded as I think we understood everything well. Even though we didn't understand everything at first we always kept on trying to find out new ways to get the digits from our clues.
