Personal Relationships is a year-long course in the GAP Program. The course helps students navigate various types of relationships, such as building friendships, handling a romantic relationship, and identifying healthy and unhealthy characteristics within relationships. Students are given tools to identify appropriate expectations in differing kinds of relationships, how to pursue a relationship in a positive and meaningful way, how to recognize unhealthy habits within relationships, and other necessary skills to interact appropriately. This class continues lessons from previous courses in mental flexibility, perspective taking, mental health, and self-control, leaving students with more in-depth skills about navigating interpersonal interactions.
