Community Resources is a course that is embedded in our community outings, internships, college experiences and students' lives. In this course, students learn about their network of needs: appointment setting with healthcare professionals, understanding available support through community agencies, expanding travel training, and expanding career training are all essential parts of being involved in one's community. As such, this course helps students take hold of their network, know how and where to seek further help and support, and use available resources through their communities to help meet their future needs. More so, this course also helps students understand the history of their community, find events and relevant locations within their immediate community, and map and navigate their local community.Â
