Bio

I was born in 1970 in Ostuni (BR), Puglia, Italy.

I started playing piano at the age of 13 as autodidact.

At 17, I moved to Milan to attend the last two years of the five-years piano jazz advanced course with Franco D'ANDREA at C.P.M. (Centro Professione Musica) and to study Philosophy at Milan Public University.

At 19, I started working at C.P.M., as Piano Accompanist and Assistant Teacher in the Jazz Vocal Courses tought by Tiziana GHIGLIONI.

In 1993, I joined the band "QUINTETTO X" as keyboardist, composer and arranger: QUINTETTO X became the leading band of the worldwide notable musical cultural association and movement "FEZ", led by Nicola CONTE, so turning the best "black" sounds (Jazz, Funk, Brazilian) of '60 and '70 into new, powerful, joyful and "live" dance tunes.

In 1995, the record "NOVO ESQUEMA DA BOSSA" by QUINTETTO X was released, making our new sound project appreciated as leading, fresh and innovative all around the world, among the aficionados of the genre.

After several years of intense gigs activity in Italy and Europe, I moved back to Puglia, played with a lot of local musicians, experimenting "live" different sounds and musical directions, performing hundreds of gigs a year, playin' Jazz, Blues, Pop, Reggae, Soul and R&B, Electronica, Progressive etc.

More recently, after a wandering period in hyperuranium, thanks to my deep-rooted inexhaustible curiosity and  aesthetic restlessness, I started working on my personal projects, focusing on all different kind of sounds I met and fell in love with throughout the years, adding my very personal touch.

A young fruit of my spiritual and artistic rebirth is a return to the "classic" acoustic JAZZ TRIO formula, today "subversively mainstream", with my T-RIOT, releasing on April 2017 the Album "A DIFFERENTH TRUTH", including my Original Compositions and Arrangements.

With T-RIOT, from 20 to 31 may 2018, we were on tour in Bangkok (we also played at the BAMBOO BAR inside the MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL) and Hong Kong (Y Theatre in Youth Square) for the Italian Embassy, thanks to Institutes of Italian Culture; on june 24th, we played on main event of JAZZIT FEST in Montegrosso (BAT) and on july 29th we started the double concert of LOCUS FESTIVAL in Locorotondo (BA) with GOGO PENGUIN.

In October 2018, it comes out my first real Album, recorded sometime ago, for which I wrote music, words and arrangements: THE BLUE MANDALA PROJECT - Notes From The Outer Soul
