Asa Clark Middle School's schedule varies by each grade level. Every day 6th grade students have three academic core classes, two exploratory classes, a 40 minute lunch, as well as Homeroom & Pirate Resource. The core classes are approximately 74 minutes in length, and include the following classes:
Language Arts
Math
Social Studies/Science (alternate by semesters)
In addition to the core classes, all students have Homeroom & Pirate Resource, which are identified by about 30 minute blocks of time in a student's schedule. The purpose of Homeroom & Pirate Resource is to engage students and staff in experiences that support each learner's academic, social, and emotional growth through positive relationship building.
All 6th grade students at ACMS participate in 4 exploratory classes throughout the year that take place on alternating A/B days. These classes are 40 minutes in length and include:
Physical Education
STEAM Explore
World Language Explore
Student choice between Band or Music Appreciation & Performance
