Ensure that Vulnerable Sector Check has been received by Human Resources (i.e., check VISTA)
Welcome the New Teacher/ Teacher Candidate into the school
Provide the New Teacher/ Teacher Candidate emergency procedures, medical information, safety information, etc.
Check in with the New Teacher / Teacher Candidate
Check in with the Mentor / Associate teacher
Support, encourage and participate in professional learning with the New Teacher / Teacher Candidate
Be prepared to support when and if a conflict arises with a restorative lens
Ensure the teacher candidate submits end of practicum survey
Provide the teacher candidate with the next steps for applying to Peel and the hiring process
