Our main office in the Paly Tower Building is this week in the process of moving to their new short-term temporary location for summer, room 217 (see map for updated location). The principal’s office will also be moved, to room 218. The move is IN-PROCESS right now, hoping to be moved over completely by the end of this week, June 10.
Things in the office are a little chaotic at the moment, so please have patience while the office staff does their best to handle student and teacher issues for the first week of summer classes, and packs up to be moved to this short-term temporary location.
In a few more weeks the office and principal’s office will be moved again to their long-term temporary location, room P11, while the Tower building renovations are under way.

All PAUSD staff received an email in their PAUSD account on April 14 this year from Charen Yu, Director of Fiscal Services for PAUSD, announcing a change to how we fill out payroll timecards and when you will receive your paychecks.
Starting next month, July 2022, our part-time timecards will change to the 1st of each month to the last day of each month (28, 29, 30, or 31), and your will get your paychecks on the 10th of each month. Continue reading below for a copy of the original message text:
Why are the pay cycles changing?
The changes will allow the district to provide increased transparency. The new pay cycle will help streamline the district time-keeping systems, keep current vacation and sick leave balances, and increase timesheet accuracy.
What are the new pay cycles?
End of the month – Paycheck is released on the last working day of the month.
Tenth of the month – Paycheck is released on the last working day on or before the 10th of each month.
What does this mean to district employees?

10-month employees – pay cycle is August through May**
11-month employees – pay cycle is August through June
12-month employees – pay cycle is July through June
**Classified employees who are scheduled to work in June will receive eleven paychecks which run from August through June
Other non-reoccurring supplemental payments, which include but are not limited to extra work, overtime, staff development stipend, SELF stipend, IL stipend, will be paid on the 10th of the month.
If you are an hourly/daily employee, including a coach, adult ed instructor, spectra art teacher, or substitute, your new pay cycle will be on the 10th of the month. The payment will cover an entire month.
For example, assignments completed from August 1, 2022, through August 31, 2022, will be paid on September 9, 2022.
