Tech requests for IT help at PAUSD are handled by a team of about 30 staff members for the entire school district (admin, teachers, staff, students, parents), so it might take a couple of hours or even a couple of days to get your issue resolved, depending on how critical it is and when you put in your request.
The PAUSD IT department can help you get your PAUSD password reset, help with internet connection issues on a PAUSD campus, help with using PAAS tech equipment and many other things. If you are locked out of your PAUSD account, you can use the first button below to open a form outside of the PAUSD ID Portal to put in your IT request to the help desk queue.
You can go to the main tech help site anytime without signing in to the ID Portal from the www.pausd.org main page by clicking here: Tech Request Let's Talk. Once there you will have many options to request help. The two most popular options are listed with buttons below.
If you are on a PAUSD campus, you can use a campus phone and call PAUSD IT at x1102 where you can leave a voice mail message.
Remember to double check the last section of the form on this request page; make sure you have listed a different email than your @pausd.org email account, so that you get a message you can read when IT has received your request and then when they have unlocked your @pausd.org account. This form usually autofills your contact information with the last email you used, especially if it was your @pausd.org account, so be sure to check again before you click submit!
If you need help with your username, password or other issue using the ASAP program for student attendance, student demographic and contact information, please contact the Paly Adult School office, (650) 329-3752, for assistance. PAUSD IT does not maintain this system for the adult school. See this page for more info.
If you are an ESL teacher using an interactive textbook, check with the ESL office, (650) 494-2326 for the Adult School Tech Mentor or Teacher who can best assist you with that presentation software. The PAUSD IT department does not maintain this software for the adult school.
Would like to get some help with basic tech training on using the ID Portal, using your PAUSD Google Drive, navigating your PAUSD email account, using new campus technology or any other tech issue related to teaching your classes at PAUSD?
You can request training help with the PAUSD IT department (Request Other IT Help), or ask for help from one of the Adult School Tech Mentors .
Check with the ESL or Adult School office for the best person to help with your specific tech training needs.
If you have been assigned a Yubikey to use the PAUSD ID Portal (not all adult school teachers have been assigned this key), and your key is not working or you have misplaced it, you can still access the portal by using the Google Authenticator app instead. Open this document to find the instructions to use the Google Authenticator on an iPhone, instead of the physical Yubikey you insert into a USB port on your computer. If you still cannot access the ID Portal, contact IT using the buttons above for more help.
